All hands on Deck!

05/03/2011

As the economy slowly recovers, deck projects are presenting themselves in the forefront of top spring sales.

Homeowners are being specific with their deck requests and many are again wanting high-end material for their outdoor living space. Wood decks can be less expensive and have proven to retain their value over the years. Cedar and Redwood are becoming ever-popular with their stellar performance in the natural-wood category. New composite boards are surprisingly affordable and offer a low-maintenance long lasting deck.

After a decline in the deck market, it is back on the rise and according to The Freedonia Group, deck demand is expected to rise 2.7% per year.  While wood decking will account for the majority of decks, tropical hardwood demand will grow as well as PVC and composite materials.

Bring your measurements into J&W Lumber and we will provide you with a professional 3-D rendering of your project so you can visualize your dream deck before a single nail is driven – at no additional cost!
