Pressure Treated Lumber
Prepped and Ready for the Elements
What is Pressure Treated Lumber?
Pressure treated lumber uses the NatureWood® preservative which includes alkaline copper quaternary preservative developed to provide protection for years of exposed, exterior and even ground contact applications. This treatment is the effective use of copper combined with an organic quaternary compound and is injected into the wood with pressure. Treated lumber is great to use for fences, deck understructures and landscaping. Use only hot-dip galvanized, stainless steel, or other fasteners and hardware that are recommended by the manufacturer for use with pressure treated lumber.
What Do We Stock?
J&W Lumber stocks ACQ .40-.60 rated Treated Hem Fir and Douglas Fir that has a limited LIFETIME Warranty! Because our material carries the .40 rating it can come in contact with the ground and still maintain a warranty. Don’t be fooled by other less expensive product that looks the same but only carries a .20 ACQ rating which has less treatment and is not rated for ground contact.
Sizes available: 2×4, 2×6, 2×8, 2×10, 2×12, 4×4, 4×6, 4×8, 4×10, 4×12, 6×6, and 6×8. Other sizes available through special order.
Don’t Forget:
To properly maintain your warranty and the life of the wood all end cuts must be sealed. For this J&W has a line of sealers specially formulated to do the job.
For Exterior Use Only.
COPPER-GREEN’S® BROWN WOOD PRESERVATIVE
A copper naphthenate and hydrocarbon solvent wood preservative that may be brush applied for surface protection of most woods. Dip soaking or pressure impregnation of COPPER-GREEN will result in deeper penetration resulting in longer preservation of treatable species. The copper in COPPER-GREEN reacts with the cellulose of wood. As a result it is not easily lost from the wood by leaching. This formulation extends the service life of wood products.
GREEN’S CLEAR WATER BASED WOOD PRESERVATIVE
A copper 8-quinolinolate water based wood preservative that may be brush applied for surface protection of most woods. Dip soaking or pressure impregnation of GREEN’S CLEAR will result in deeper penetration resulting in longer preservation of treatable species. The copper 8-quinolinolate in GREEN’S CLEAR reacts with the cellulose of wood. As a result it is not easily lost from the wood by leaching. This formulation extends the service life of wood products.
