Because we specialize in materials for outdoor building, we understand what it takes to complete customers’ projects and we can add value from start to finish, from design to ensuring the finished project is as expected.

Contractor Connection. While some homeowners have the ability to undertake projects themselves, many others seek to work with a contractor to get the job done. We don’t endorse specific contractors, but we are familiar with those that do great work and we’re happy to provide contact information of three contractors to home owners who ask for a referral.

Material Quality. We pride ourselves on the quality of the material we sell so we pay attention to our racks, ensuring that all material is in excellent condition. We keep our store shelves well stocked and organized so you can find what you are looking for with ease.

Onsite Custom Milling. Each of our six locations has a small mill that can handle most projects; we can also tackle larger or more custom milling requests at our Escondido headquarters, which has one of the largest mills in San Diego County.

Speed and Convenience. Not a fan of maneuvering a giant cart around a store, loading it with purchases, and then unloading everything into your vehicle? At J&W Lumber, that’s not necessary as we offer point-of-sale will call services – all you have to do is back your vehicle up to our rack and let us load it for you, saving you valuable time. For even more convenience, we can deliver your material directly to your job site.

Preferred Contractor Program. Contractors that sign up for this free program receive a record of the purchases they’ve made every year – a great tool at tax time. Other incentives of this program include access to an online account, applying for in-house credit, and invitations to special J&W events.
